Printers use papers to roll out prints. During the process, sometimes bits of paper can get stuck into the interior of a printer. This can prevent it from functioning properly. In technical language, it is referred to as printer paper jam error.

● Turn off the printer and check the paper support flag. See whether it is open or closed. If it is open, close it.
● Pull the tray out and take out the green levers to find out any piece of paper in the printer. If you find any stuck piece of paper, pull it out carefully or else proceed to the next step.
● Look for a scrap of paper on the rear side of jam clear flap by opening it. Check for the piece of paper and remove it carefully. Next, put the jam clear flap in its original position. If you did not find any piece of paper, move on to the next step.
● Open the scanner cover of your printer carefully. Move the printer head carefully to look for any jammed paper in the interior of the printer. Close the scanner and restore the levers back to their original position.
● Pull the paper support by holding the paper tray until you hear a clicking sound. By doing so you will be able to figure out if you have put the paper tray properly.
● Connect the power chord and power on the printer. Now try to obtain some prints to verify if the issue has been resolved.
If you observe Brother printer paper jam error with no paper jammed instead of the normal paper jam issue, you need to reset the printer first and then follow the aforementioned step to resolve the issue.
